Right now my server is up with the latest code for 0.3.4, this is a test server to see that 0.3.4 is ready for release, report any crashes here plz. In detail, your charname, zone and cause of the crash, thank you.

Thanks for the opportunity to try out the new emu.

I tried making a few characters on the public server tonight, and this is how it went.

OS = Windows XP Pro
ISP = DSL

I ran the latest EQ patch. Then switched to the emu servers. Created a new character on the Image Public Server, char name Lilasea, tried to enter the world at Greater Faydark but the game crashed after the EQ splash screen, back to desktop. Tried login in with the same char a few more times but again was booted to desktop. So I deleted Lilasea and created a new character, Saiendy, tried entering the world in Rivervale, the game didnt not crash this time. Once ingame I got a message that I had -1 msg and I should use #msg to read them all, so I entered #msg, and got no such command. I right clicked on a merchant with no items for sale and tried to close the merchant window but could not. I then went LD, and went to server selection. I logged back on the server and was able to enter the world again with the same character but I crashed to desktop again while zoning into Kithicor Forest. After restarting I attempted to log back in using Saiendy but again crashed to desktop. Finally I logged back in deleted my stuck character and created another new character this time in Felwithe, I entered the world fine, but when I attempted to zone into Greater Faydark I crashed to desktop, upon reloading, I was able to log back in as this new character Canwenu, but killing mobs would result in being Disconnected and booted to server selection, or zoning resulting in get booted to the desktop. I also noticed that one Player character did not appear in the who list. Tells and OOC chat messages do appear to be working normally.

Well I hope I have been detailed enough in my observations. Thanks again for the opportunity to try it out, im not sure if Im the only one that was having trouble or not. If Im not then I hope this helps.

I also have a few problems to report while testing the Image server. I first started a character dwarf named Dalar and spawned in KaladimbB on top fo about 5 other NPC's. I was stuck in that spot with along with all the other Npc's. I typed in the #zone command and it warped me to another spot within the zone. Proceeded to attack a rat and was struck down bye a guard =) which caused me to crash to desktop. I logged back in to find myself in Butcherblock. I tried zonining in to GFay which caused me to crash to desktop again. Never could get back on with that character. (seems Gfay was down.)

Started a human character in freeport. proceeded to zone. I typed #commons or something to zone out. Zoning out worked but I spawned in midair and fell for 40 dmg or so at lvl 1 so I fell unconcsious. After a bit , I got up and rested up so I guess the fall damage and regen is working =). I ran to east commons zone and as I zoned over I took more fall damage but this time around 50 dmg or so. At lvl 1 I only had around 34hp or so. Died instantly.

Seems that if certain zones arent working , instead of bumping you back to a safespot in your own zone or forcing you back into your original zone, it will just disconnect you. Problem is that your character is now stuck in the zone that is down (eg. G fay).

Also the problem I found is zoning between zones sometimes will spawn you in mid air and if your lvl 1 you'll probably die if you try.

Who in their right mind would post using their real EQ name, and have a sig with a link to their homepage that has pics of their real EQ chars... Oh I guess Dalar is =P

might wana go over the EQ EULA (license.txt on #9) then rethink this whole thing hehe...

yes we know the emu is against the EULA but the only way verant can find out your using it is if your like Dalar here

I tried to log on and create characters in different zones on different servers (your server was locked) but each time it booted me to the desktop when I tried to log my new character in.

**Major** things that need to be fixed:

1) Killing - Kill stuff, you get disconnected.

2) Merchants - Try to buy from a merchant, you get disconnected.

3) Zoning - If I zone, it logs me out to world menu. I can connect and go into the zone that I was previously zoning into though.

Would be *nice* if these were fixed

1) Feign death - Shows you feigning death, but mob still attacks.

2) I see no NPCs holding weapons? Or did they never hold weapons?

That's all I've seen so far, but keep up the good work!

getting same problem. Can create character perfectly than it boots. Going to try all different zones

what is the status of the emulator are the fixes going as planed or are you still having a bit of problems with the new version ( Im sorry but i have been realy busy and havent had time to test your server out yet )

Logged in, created a char (halfling rogue called stabyaz), got back to char screen, clicked to enter game, dumps to desktop.

Repeatable.
