Passwords are stored as a
hash, not the plain text password. That way, even if you hack the database, there
isn't any easy way to get your password. That's why, if you forget your password for your bank, they can't just send it to you, you have to create a new one.
Although there may be a way to set it up so a loginserver password could be reset, it would require access by the host of the server to make the change (who has access to the code for the forums), who isn't really around all that much. Not only that, but since it just piggybacks the forum, it would require coding out the logic to send the E-mail, create a link that could be interpreted, etc.
I'm not trying to scold or bitch, I just want to make sure you (as well as others that may read this post) know that this information is freely available through the forums. This question has been asked many times before, and at this point is essentially a dead horse. Just perform a search for "forgot password" and you'll see several results, including these:
Although the search function on the forums isn't exactly great (it's pure and utter crap imo, Google helps a lot though), it does serve a purpose.
