Default This is a probably a stupid question but...

Has anyone ever tried to make it so you can use SQL2005 with EQemu?

I only ask because I am very comfortable using it and I have hardly ever used mysql.

I'm having no problems with the syntax of sql commands, but backing up, restoring, and merging databases is a problem for me.

Maybe its the GUI interface I feel is lacking, or maybe its just me.

Thanks.

as a web developer I work with both sql2005 and mySQL all the time, and let me say that sql2005 is a NIGHTMARE compare to mySQL

Maybe its just that I am comfortable in sql2005. Hopefully in a few weeks it won't be an issue. Thanks.

Ok, I am going to learn mysql.. no problem there. But would anyone be kind enough to point me in the right direction on how to enable remote management of the mysql database? I would like to be able to work on it from a different location than where I am now.

I did do a bunch of google searches, but had no luck. I was hoping someone who has used it a lot would know how to help. Thanks..

This post may help some. You will also need to forward port 3306 on your router to your server LAN IP.
