You know a forum would kinda help. Apparently the site for the custom files was down for a bit or something and people had to email each other them or something.

Loving this server, by the way. Helping me cope with the loss of EQC. Tried playing on PEQ but it got very boring with later expansions, even with infinite AA's. Anywho, thanks for havin this all set up, Tiny.

Nazi Proving Grounds! Come play but ONLY IF you like to be forced to raid with every single person who logs in, oh and have the guild name "OMGWTFBBQSAUCE".

I formed my own guild, after helping the server extensively on raids and decided to lead my own. The very first raid where myself and my guildies conquered Venril Sathir half my equipment is removed. The other GM on the server idlely sits by telling me "He doesn't care" and then enjoys loot. Oh I might add loot we couldn't use was dispersed among people on the server! What a travisty to have a raid on the server that doesn't include every single person! Hey maybe I'm over-reacting. Well:

So play here in the lovely yester year of the Nazi regime, or don't unless you like bringing any and every person on with you everywhere!!

Now, while I couldn't give a damn about this server, or the players on it, or the server OPs, I do have to say that server ops do have 100% control of you. You broke his server's rule (even if it was "nazish" in your opinion, which in itself is a childish way to retort comparing a server to genocide.) and he did what he deemed was necessary. When you log on to a server, you forfeit all control of your rights and only have the rights they give you; thus, if a server has a rule where admins can knock you back with AvatarKnockback any time they want, while stupid, the rule still gets enforced as you are not the server op. It's just that simple.

The only thing I see happening past this post is a bunch of flaming, pointing fingers, and blatant destruction of a thread. So, can we continue this civilized before a mod has to intervene?

Sure, rules have to be adhered too but they should be stated clearly. Hey no big deal I left, but I have as much right to post my opinions as he has to enforce what I deem ridiculous rules.

Also, comparing server control to Nazism OBVIOUSLY is a way to convey stringent rules, but hey lets make everything in life politically correct. Your name is secrets, why not keep your thoughts that way then?

Sounds like you should take a little bit of your own advice and keep to yourself. Someone got owned on a game, and now they are whining on a messageboard. I don't know what's more pathetic, your childish retorts against someone who you broke rules on their property with, or that.

Childish retorts. Happy?

Maybe if your sadistic brain intent on destroying communities would focus on facts, instead of focusing on your own opinions, you'd see what I meant.

You are as powerless as anyone else is on a server. Yet, you don't get that, and when I try and make you see, you flame me back.

I don't keep to myself for one reason: I keep people in place, mainly those who are blind to common sense.

Chances are one of the following happened:
1) Rules were stated clearly, and you ignored them.
2) You broke a rule after being warned that you did not follow a rule, and proceeded anyway.
3) A combination of 1 & 2.

It happens every time... there's always a backstory. A picture does not always speak a thousand words; in your case, it spoke 30 at most, which is definately not the whole story.

Why did I decide this server's post to defend the topic creator? Because it's simple, I am sick and tired of arrogant EQEmu players asserting themselves to higher quality of service. Not everyone eats, drinks, sleeps, bathes, and dreams of EQEmu here. Nor do half the players respect rules put out for them.

If we were to have a world without rules, there would be total anarchy. The same applies to a server. If it had no rules, there would be people with MQ2 warping and ghostkilling around, kill stealing, training, etc. (these are just examples I put forth.)

And yes, I do think it is dumb you got gear removed. But your fault for not knowing the rules, regardless if you were told them or not. Judging from that picture, the server admin always said to include people, so you either didn't get the memo or you're just ignoring his rules, and were punished as such, and again, are complaining.

I certainly wouldn't remove gear (as that's just a bit harsh) but I would punish rule-breakers, which this guy did.

And I believe he was justified in his decision.

None of this matters since you're just going to say a one liner of how I should stay out of this, but ah well, that's how it goes. People are so blind.
