Default Multiple client issues

Hello I am new here but did review faq and searches. I am having a problem with attempting to run more then one client. Whenever I start the second eq client the first freezes up with a black screen. I have also tried eq windows but it seems incompatible with my windows versions.

I am running windows vista 64 and xp 64, both have the same problem. I have an AMD duel core.

Didn't see an edit button. It seems that when a second eq client is opened the first one just looses visual. I can still use hotkeys and camp out, just can't see it. I should have plenty of ram and cpu speed to run several clients.

I have an amd cpu and I did run the optimizer suggested but it didn't help with this issue.

WinEQ2 works very well on Vista64 if you load it as administrator then run EverQuest from WinEQ2.

Yup running wineq2 on my vista 64 machine and my xp machine with no issues. One thing i do a little different tho i would have issues if i ran multiple clients from the same .exe so i copied my eq folder and have each instance of wineq2 point to it's own seperate folder.
I use to have that issue where my screen would go black also but i've never had it again since i started using wineq2 and using seperate folders.

Thanks it's working now. Wineq told me my direct x wasn't updated enough, so that may have also contributed to the problem. But running 2 clients now.
