Default New user - looking for help

Hi there - I'm beginning to consider experimenting with EQEmu. I have some truly "Newbie" questions. I HAVE read the FAQ.

First off - what exactly does EQEmu do? What powers/abilities does it grant the user?

Secondly - can we create our own items? I downloaded something that said we could, but I can't seem to find that on this site.

If I join someone's server, can I create my own character, and automatically make him level 60?

Thanks a lot for the help!

The emulator emulates the live servers... although not perfectly, you can do most, if not all, of the things you can do on a live server.

You can create items, but you'll need to download an item editor... not sure which item editor works with the current version though...

And you can join any of the servers on the emu server listing, and create a character, although what powers you get depends on what the server op has allowed.

See the readme.html for commands avaliable in the emu...

Also since there is a database, all data in it can be added/deleted/modified to your hearts desire.
