Provide more information on your computer hardware, OS version, Everquest version and a detailed explanation of the problem you are encountering and then maybe someone can help you solve the issue.

When using an AMD dual core, you may also want to install the AMD optimizer or try some of the other suggestions as mentioned in the FAQ in my sig.

The new SoD client has built in support for multiple CPUs, so that should resolve issues like you are seeing once SoD is fully ready for general use.
