I got this working today and it's actually pretty nice. I had to do quite a bit more to set up Django than was listed in the wiki, but once I got it working it looks to be a nice editor.
I use the PEQ editor for some things and phpmyadmin for others, but it seems phpmyadmin chokes on tables with a lot of columns, like the items table.
I'd be interested in seeing more work on this.
