Default EQEmuLoginServer.exe

When I run the startup.bat the cmd window flash and then go away. Any idea why this might be happening? I feel like I am so close to ironing out these issues and having my server up and running.

Full cmd message:

Code:
Using Port: 5999
Database Server:
Database Catalog:
Database UserName:
Database Password:

Unable to open opcodes file ''. Thats bad.
I have no clue where it's using port 5999. I have checked all of the requisite files.

Anyone know how to amend this so that EQEmuLoginServer.exe is using port 5998? --or-- should I switch everything else to port 5999?

I fixed mine i think. Everything appears to come up at least. My problem was i have my DB server seperate from my login server, and after following the directions on setting up mySQL, the directions said to "not allow remote root login" so it was preventing my login server from accessing the DB.

also added this from another thread

Try putting this this in a file called eqemulogin.ini in your emulator root
you can change the true entries below for less output to the cmd windows.

Code:
[LoginConfig]
loginserver=<Your IP> (localhost might work)
Port=5999
DumpPacketsIn=true
DumpPacketsOut=true
Trace=true
DatabaseServerName=localhost
DatabaseCatalogName=PEQLoginDB
DatabaseUserName=root
DatabaseUserPassword=phsn889b
OPCodePathAndFileName=login_opcodes.conf

I never got mine working with login.ini, but did with eqemulogin.ini...
