Default Want to set up server

I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this and I apologize if it isn't.
But I want to set up my own server. I want to set it up on the PC I use for everyday computer use.

The pc is a is an AMD athalon 2 X4 2.6ghz, 6gb ram. Windows 7 64bit
It does just have factory nvidia graphics card, but I can play 3 instances of eq normally on it.
I currently have an un-patched copy of EQ Titanium Ed. installed.

I really only want to set up a server for myself and maybe down the road a couple friends. I have a novice IT background in programming and sql coding. I am currently going to school for both, but am not means an expert.

As of right now I have nothing on my computer to get this up and running so could someone point me in the proper direction to get this setup, what software(it appears some version of perl and mySql are going to be needed but I do not know which) Along with all the editors, databases, etc. Seems everything I've read is for a complete windows or linux server and I don't know if I can use those instructions or not.

If possible I would like to be able to edit xp, spawns, drops, etc. But if this can't be done w/a basic setup please let me know and I will start w/what can be done.

Thanks

thx, started on it yesterday, I wasn't sure if that was the same for a windows server and a windows pc as a server. About half way done and so far so good, but Im guessing I'm going to run into problems at some point as I've never done this before.

A side question though, will i be able to use all the zones available in the titanium client? like say for instance Demi PLane, Anguish things like that? or can the npcs from those zones be used?

Anyone able to assist as to where I get the map pack files for this guide?
http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka.php?wakka=Windows
I looked in here http://code.google.com/p/projecteqemu/downloads/list but did not find any map pack files.

The installing eqemu, and intsalling map pack files is a little confusing.
I have no idea where c:\eqemu\build\*.* is so i copied everything that I think was needed from GeorgeS file that he provides.

You'll want to use a Subversion (SVN) client to download the maps.

Yes the database currently supports all zones up to SoD, but if you only have titanium, you can go up to OoW.
