You never specified what version of the EQ client you are running. That is actually very important. After reading this thread I'm wondering if you are trying to use a patched to live version of EQ.

Where is the client version number written? I looked in eqclient.ini but there are just instructions and (=true/false) values in there.

Go back and read the getting started information linked on the home page. If you do not know what client version you are using you are not goin to be able get get much help.

I was looking for some kind of patched version number like 0.8.0 eqemu, or something heh. I am using the Titanium client.

Currently looking for drivers for the graphics card, i had the Catalyst Control Centre before, but think that maybe there are some older drivers that are better suited. No idea which ones tho. Most of the driver updates i apply seem to make EQ have more problems so that even getting to the server select screen isn't possible.

Pardon me, if i haven't provided enough info ~ say if there is anything else

More info: Graphics card is ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series, and my Processor is a Xeon 2.8ghz 8-core with hyper threading. It also occured to me that i might be having multi-core processor problems (which i've tried fixes on) and that the fixes weren't working because the hyper threading was confusing EQ app's affinity set.
