Default Login help

Whenever I try logging into the EQEMU server, it says I have the incorrect username/password even though I know it is right. I'm running Seeds of Destruction on Professional XP if that helps. I did make sure to change the eqhost file to:

[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5999

Have you been able to log into the Login Server before using another older client? If this is your first time ever using EQEmu, make sure you created actual Login Server accounts in your User CP section of the forums. If you are trying to log in using your forum account, that isn't going to work. Also, if you set your password too long, it might cause problems as well. I generally try to keep it about 6 characters long. I don't know what the cut-off is, but probably any over 6-8 or so could be getting truncated.

Maybe try changing your LS password to 6 chars long. Either that, or maybe you can try entering truncated versions of your existing password and see if one works. Such as:

My10ChrPas
My10ChrPa
My10ChrP
My10Chr
My10Ch

Num lock?

Also, have you tried typing your password in notepad and make sure your keyboard is working correctly? And, you aren't on a laptop are you?

One last shot

I don't know if this helps but my friend tried logging in one of his accounts, and it said "This login requires a valid EverQuest subscription. Please make sure you have signed up for this via billing option" (He uses the same user/pass for his old live account as EQEMU)

This means that even though the eqhost is set to connect to the emulator it still is connecting to Sony. Don't know if this shines the light on anything or not.
