Default Zone.exe crash since rev2145

I have not been able to use any updates since rev2145 on my private server.

Zone.exe crashes within 10 seconds of loading a character into the game.

I assume this is not isolated to my server alone, since trying to update Storm Haven resulted in the same problem.

Wondering if anyone else is having a same issue?

Please provide a stack trace if you can. I'm not sure what could be causing this, as my local test server does not have this issue.

Trev figured it out...

Past Rev2145 you need to have global_player.pl in your quest templates folder.

Also found that Queryserv is required on (Debian) Linux, or you will get zone crashes. The note in the changelog says the server will run fine without Queryserv after the LF Guild stuff was added, but it doesn't seem to be the case on my tests.

It's not a good idea to run without QueryServ as it becomes used for more and more things anyway. Might as well make it required at this point so people get used to it.

This fixed it for me.

I didn't realize it was REQUIRED or else zones will crash immediately after zoning in, esp after hailing an NPC.

I did however add/have a player.pl in the quest/templates folder but it needed to be global_player.pl file instead.

Wish this was more explained in changelog.txt file that it is required or else crash.
