Default disconnecting while at char select

i used to have this problem back with 2.1 and 2.2 but i fixed it by reistalling DB and dx 8.1. now it seems with 2.3 , i am having this same problem and reinstalling DB and dx are not having an effect.
i can get to the char select and pick my char and such but after about 30 seconds at the chat select it just disconnects and throws me back to server select screen.

world exe looks like this:

Logged in: Local: eqemu
Sending list of guilds
Unknown opcode: 0x9221 size:4
0000: 09 E8 B5 0D | ....
Client disconnected
Removing client from ip:127.0.0.1 port:3260
1131000 New client from ip: 127.0.0.1 port:3264
Logged in: Local: eqemu
Sending list of guilds

the primary surface error is coming from you client side. It could also be coming from a particular EQ patch (I saw one a few days ago).

But don't keep re-installing the database server and DX8.1. I know that once in a while re-installing gets rid of gremlins, but you shouldn't need to re-install for every release.

Have you tried using eqw 2.2 to login into the gotfrags login server?

As for the other problem, you say that you can create a char and then you go to char select and about 30 seconds later you get a client disconnect. OR are you clicking on "enter"?

Also take a look at this, it looks like what you are describing:
