Default LDONs - next to zero agro/social and augs question

Hi.

Using a standard peq db.

Did my 1st LDon on my server. The mobs were not social and didnt agro until hit. Much, much easier than live. Is this standard for eqemu? If I want to make these harder like they were on live when I played there, can someone point me in a direction?

Also, got like 8 augs in 1 LDON. A 3 person, level 15 LDON. The augs were all +6. That's the kind of augs that drop in the high end LDoNs... +1 was common fare for these low dungeons. I guess thats the peqdb?

We all got 15 points too, which seems high to me, but my memory could be off.

Thanks and sorry for being such a newb running a server. I am learning.

Agro range is in the NPC data in the database.

This seems about right. You get ~100 at 65 for a standard and ~200 for a hard

Followup.

I found and tweaked agro range, and now they do agro when I get near, but they still don;t help each other (any agro only gets me 1 mob - even when there are mobs next to them slightly further awayn from me). Is that changable? The live version mobs help alot more and make the dungeon more challenging. We always needed crowd control, we need none on my server.

Is there a way to make mobs help each other?

The loot tables were pretty messed up for rujj low level dungeons. I found appropriate loottable and lootdrop entries, and adjusted them to be closer to lve rates.

The points for starting LDONs were 1 and 2 points at level 15. I've adjusted my tables down to match more closely to live.

I'll share all my changes with peq and they can do with it as they deem appropriate.

Did you actually log on to live and verify this?

Have a friend doing so tomorrow. However, I do have some validating information:

1) I played a ton of low level LDONs on live and I remember getting 1 point.

2) I found a few posts on various sites talking about LDON experiences and one specifally said they each got 2 points for a low level rescue.

3) The adventure merchants sell charms for 1 , 2 ,3,4, 5, and 6 points. I can't see why anyone would buy the level 1 charm if they got 15 points in one adventure. They'd buy tghe level 6 one right of.. This I guess isn't evidence, but more inference.

Assist radius is the same as agro radius unless i read the source wrong. Make sure they have faction setup correctly.

Hmm. Maybe Aggroradius of 55 is still too small. I see orc camps in EC are aggroraidus 70 and they are closer together than any of the ldon mobs I am seeing.

I'll test it at 70 tomorrow.

As to having faction setup right? The LDoN mobs all have a faction and those factions are in the npc_faction tables. There are more than 1 faction, but several like factioned mobs are close to one another. Maybe changing range to 70 will help.

Thanks a ton for the help. I'm new to the code and running a server, but I'm catching on. In a few hours today, my rujj LDoNs are really coming together.

Im still want to look at the boxes and such, I see barrels getting rolled up, butn bnever see one in the dungeon - stuff like that.

Yes, bumping up aggrorange to 70 made a few mobs help. Thank you.

Setting them to a similar faction will let them assist each other. Move the number around to find the right faction you want.

Inside the Npc_types table you will find a row called npc_faction_id. You will also see a table called npc_faction and npc_faction_entries. You can adjust all sorts of things there.
