Does EQEmu Require 2 computers

Ok, I may have missed reading this on the site, but I was wondering if you are running a server for multiple users and want to play on the server you are running is a seperate computer required or can I run a world and play on the same machine?

Does running both the server and logging into the server slow the connection?

when running a server on the same comp you play it slows you down while you play, but the other people dont lag to much, i have a cable connection, and when other peeps are on my server they dont lag nearly as much as i do (still trying to set up my new comp so i can turn this into server comp) other than that though its not to bad -=)

To minimize lag..Make 2 everquest directories...patch the new one to the latest (or copy all files in old and and paste in new folder) then when you start eqw, start one from old directory, and start another from your new one.

need 2 accounts...obviously.
