Hello Everyone,

I would like to welcome you to Lanys T'Vyl

Description: Lanys T'Vyl Dark-Apostle Server

Clients;

Underfoot, Titanium.

Bots and Boxing;

2 bots are allowed. but temporarily suspended.

Boxing multiple clients is allowed.

Hot Zones;

The Permafrost Caverns, The Burning Wood, The Crystal Caverns, Siren's Grotto,

The Southern Plains of Karana, Erud's Crossing, The Great Divide, Timorous Deep,

The Hole, The Warsliks Woods, Kerra Isle, Najena

Maintenance;

Character backups will be done on a regular basis.

I poked around on your server, but found a couple things that turned me and my friends off completely, and I feel it is unfair to leave you in the smoke about why.

-PEQzone is enabled, that is literally the worst thing ever and does not make you a legit server. Lanys T'vyl server is supposed to be legit!

-I cannot ask questions from level 1, I have to get a couple levels before interacting with the community or my friends....that's bad! (ie: tells, shout, and /ooc are disabled upon creation)

-Coupled with the second problem, there are no chat channels setup for new players, or for global use!

-You don't mention what the xp rates, loot rates, spawn timers, etc. Were raid mobs adjusted, or are like-live? Etc etc

-What's the level limit?

-Expansion limit?

These are the primary things keeping us from playing on your server :O!

The server was upgraded on 9/28/2013. There where a lot of changes made to the PEQ database, so I decided to go with the new database, when I sourced it in there was a glitch related to the database commands table not being properly populated. It has since been corrected and peqzone and many other commands should not be available to players any longer. Well after the reboot anyway.

There have been reports that some UF clients get stuck underworld when entering in to Nektulos from PoK so I would strongly suggest replacing Nec, Lava zones like the titanium clients, if you have issues. I personally have not had this happen to any of my characters.

Max level is 65 because content expansion is currently up to GoD.
The server is set to 85 but spells are currently about 70 with pets, this is low pri for me at the moment.

/list will give you a list of channels available to you, /newplayers was there for me at level 1.

Experience is like live, there is also a full group bonus like live, Hot-zones will also give an additional exp bonus. Lesson of the Devoted will give you dbl exp for 30 min.

Loot ;

Live like loot is in effect.

very rare loot like below is dropped in level appropriate zones

Crude Defiant Gear (Recommended level of 10. No required level.)
Simple Defiant Gear (Required level of 5. Recommended level of 20.)
Rough Defiant Gear (Required level of 15. Recommended level of 30.)
Ornate Defiant Gear (Required level of 26. Recommended level of 40.)
Flawed Defiant Gear (Required level of 37. Recommended level of 50.)
Intricate Defiant Gear (Required level of 48. Recommended level of 60.)

Now for raids and bosses;
I need to test the raid systems I believe there working properly, settings for this content is peq default. which I assume is live like.

Ok, so your entire point of this server is to try and emulate Lanys before it was merged into that crap server it is now?

I had thought it was a classic oriented Lanys, ie: no Defiant-crappy-gear-that-ruins-everything.

I also don't get the point of restricting starting access on newly created toons so they can't use /shout /ooc or /tells. Why do this?

The UF clients getting stuck underworld is where the client is expecting the newer Nec/Lava over the classic one you have set. You have to distribute these files (afaik that is legal?) so people can replace those files. Or do you simply rename the newer nec files? I forgot how to fix that one.

Lastly, you need to allow open registration on your forum. Only reason i'm typing here is because you have it disabled on your forum.

I would like to think of it as a continuation of a great server that was cut down before its time. Lanys T'Vyl is not classic if you would like classic p99 is sure to make you very happy.

The point of restricting chat is no one wants to listen to newbie questions over those channels. There is a /newplayers channel that I am always in and waiting for that kind of chat. now that I think of it Ill add something about it in MOTD.

No you just need to follow the titanuim guide IF and I am saying IF you have the issue. Like I said I have not had this problem I am sorry for bringing it up.

Everyone over 65 is for testing. cause you know it will be asked "why is so and so over 65 if thats the level cap"? answer is for testing.

Reg on my site is working fine, on the left hand side under the heading login, it says not a member yet click here to register. I don't have a separate login for forums its just one login for the site and the forum.
