Default Certain linkdeath when using minilogin

I'm having a bit of a problem using the minilogin system. Everything works fine, up until when I try to actually play my character. I can log in but immediately I go linkdead. This makes little sense, seeing as I'm connecting only to my own computer, and so I was wondering if anyone else has thought on how to fix this.

I am having this problem too, everything works fine...but as soon as I get into the world, my ld bar starts moving, and after about 30 seconds it'll hit 100% and disconnect me.

I'm using:
Win98SE
600mhz PIII
384MB SDRAM
Geforce 2 Pro 64MB DDR AGP
Sound Blaster LIVE

db.ini

### --- be left "localhost" unless mysql is on a differant computer than world.exe.

LoginServer.ini

### --- This file tells world.exe what loginserver to connect to.
### --- Leave the account and password field BLANK.

### --- Public Login is un-supported as is LAN playing. We reccomend using the EQEmu.net Loginserver ALWAYS.

### --- NOTE: Starting 6-1-2002, you can no longer use the word "Server" in worldname.
### --- NOTE2: the word "Server" is added to each server automaticly.

REM: When you are using minilogin, Replace all IP Addresses to say 127.0.0.1

REM: If you still get errors try using localhost instead of 127.0.0.1

Since you only need 2 really with minilogin

I"m just using my own computer as a personal server, just to try on different armor, for looks. Everything works fine as I mentioned earlier, until I login my character.

I am using eqemu eqemu account

(i created it, world eqemu eqemu 200)

my eq database is setup correctly, and i updated to the newest eqemu available (0313). I tried 0312 earlier but had the same probelm..each time i did drop the eq database and remade it, and re sourced the db.sql.

I am using the new xml UI.

Any help would be appreciated.......the old eqemu that came out during velious era used to work perfectly for me long ago, ....but my interest has come back and here I am again.

ive been told that mini-login will lagg a system out...after you log in close it out. see if that helps..also running the client on the same pc as the server can do this.

How would you do that? you cannot alt-tab out of EQ without it killing itself(used ot be a trick to do it, but verant changed it because of so called easier use to memory hack programs).

I do not use EQW, I use the patchme method of logging in.

I did find a temporarly solution though....

If I manually setup a zone I want to be in ie

zone.exe gfaydark localhost 7995 localhost

when i log in, and get into the world, in that zone, i dont lag out and get disconnected.

*(&$*(^^^*(%)(*#^*(%^*&$

I just updated the database with the new 3.13 addon, so i'd actually have items to use....

now my method doesn't work anymore and i lagout again.... /sigh

any other suggestions? all I want to do is play in one zone by myself, with items..I dont give a rats ass about spawns or anything else...I just want to play on my own computer and try on different items i can find with itemsearch....is that so much to ask O.o...............

Is there a way to just incorporate the items.sql file into the normal database? it seems all this info(spawns etc) is too much for my shitty computer to handle.

I use a custom boot zone file that runs only 2 to begin with, I mentioned this in an earlier post on this thread.

hehe i was referring to Yubazafum's post originally, only thing that caught my eye on your post was "I am having this problem too" and I didnt bother to read the rest of it.

I also had the same problem, until I upped my datarate to 16.0. I noticed at 10.0 it would start to go LD about 2 seconds after logging in. The higher I raised this value, the longer it would be before going link dead.

16.0 is what worked best for me.

10.0 i believe is the highest you can set DataRate.txt, anything higher just defaults back.
