Server Locked

Everything seems to work fine until I get to the server screen. The server I set up is there, but it is locked and when I click play, I get an error. I'm on an XP machine and want to play standalone, playing on the same machine as server is on. So I went to services and turned off my firewall, same prob. Thought it may be cause I'm on a network, so I disconnected cable and rebooted. Server still locked and getting error 1017.
Also, in mysql, under the enviroment tab, there is My ODBC. In that box it says:
Not found
Driver 3.51 not found.
Any suggestions?

i'm getting the same exact problems. infact when i try to right click in the mysqladmin to select create database its not there. i have to run the create database through the prompt :(

If you are getting a 1017 error when connecting to your server, make sure the Windows XP Firewall is disabled. You can check this by right clicking "My Network Places" on your desktop and clicking properties, then right clicking "Local Area Connection" assuming you have a cable modem or something similure and clicking Properties. Then go to the Advanced tab. Make sure Internet Connection firewall is un-checked.

If you are getting a 1017 error message when attempting to join your minilogin server, please make sure you have added the eqemu account.
This can be done by opening up a command prompt, (cmd in run), going to your eqemu directory(example: cd C:\eqemu), and typing:

world adduser eqemu eqemu 200

At this point you can try to connect again.

I think either I'm totally lost or we got our wires crossed. I have no router and I am trying to run a standalone. One post says to put in standalone for world address and another says to put in an IP address, it do get confusing for some of us : )

I run on a win2k adv server thingy or whatever and I have a locked server also I dunno what a standalone server is but I wanna run a "normal" server that anyone who connects to EQEmu the normal way can join. I have all my files on one computer (win2k) I have a cable I tried it all. I just dunno thought it was a similiar problem to the person who put up the forum and maybe I could score a lil extra help

When will I ever get this fixed?!?!
