Yeah most of the time it flicks on then right back off, but twice it lasted a long time, out of however many times I cast it between level 2 and 40.
I've since stopped using it and train Divination using a rota of 5 race illusion spells on a single hotkey, not for any particular reason other than it's less boring to watch. It was also interesting to see which illusions superceded the others. It used to be (in live, iirc) that a higher level illusion would overwrite a lower one, but that's not the case in the emu. I had to swap the order several times to find which ones to use to make sure I would get all 5 changes. Not that it affected the skill ups, just for aesthetic/boredom reasons.
Edit: Is that Subtle Illusion) only on the one clicky item? I can't find a spell scroll for it.
