Follow the instructions there. Disable windows firewall then run the installer. RE-enable the firewall and make sure to add a rule for the server port eg TCP 5999. IF you dont know how to stop/start/create rules then chatgpt is your friend.

I am wanting to run some php pages in the root of the webserver but I can't find where it runs from. The one that Spire runs from.

I can confirm the auto-installer still works.
Can anyone help troubleshoot a 1017 error for LAN server? I ran the auto-installer program that includes Spire recently and successfully tested a Titanium client on the server machine with 127.0.0.1 as the default config.
In order to make it open to the LAN, I changed the local address configs in Spire GUI so loginserver#1, TCP.ip, and World LAN Server now shows 192.168.x.xxx rather than the default 127.0.0.1 (Database configs have been left untouched)
Edited the client eqhost.txt files to be host=192.168.x.xxx:5998.
All clients on LAN connect to loginserver and see the world server, but all are getting 1017.
I checked my netstats and ports 5998 and 9001 are listening to 192.168.x.xxx vs the default 127.0.0.1 I added a port forward on my router for both ports, but I still can't make the connection. Spire is reading all green lights.
I know this is something to do with the wrong ip address, but I can't find where it's gone wrong.

Can you point me to the auto-installer for Windows (a link or download location)? Since the changeover of docs, downloads, etc., I cannot seem to find anything but broken links. I cannot find the Windows Installer to download it in the first place, but would love to try a fresh install and testing.
I'm assuming you tried a fresh install recently (November or December of 2025?) with the Windows installer?

Same here, was looking for the installer and all I find is broken links everywhere. I presume it has something to do with a certain court proceeding but would love to tinker on around on a personal server. If anyone knows where to snag the installer, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Metaphorically speaking, Emu is a dead garden now. But considering there was only 9 under-developed expansions done in over 20 years, it never really had enough water and sunshine to help it grow. But that's to be expected when it relies on volunteers coming and going.
Nobody ever had the time (or wanted), to moderate or maintain these forums, let alone keep the project organized and stable enough to give it a solid structure that would last. The passion was there, but nobody to pluck the toxic weeds, before they contaminated the garden.
Wanting to make changes to help something improve can be a good thing, but if those changes are happening too fast, when not needed, it just slows everything down. One step forward, two steps backward.
It was a community garden that got raided by selfish, toxic neighbours and nobody guarding the gate. It was only a matter of time before it reaches it's plateau of growth and becomes an archive of memories.

Unfortunately, yes. You can replace all instances of .io with .dev
