can i run eqemu if eq is fully updated?

my everquest is fully patched and everytime i try to join a server i get the 1017 error, everytime on every server. am i just screwed till eqemu is updated or is there a way to fix this, thanks.

i don't know why the hell u posted that web site, my eq host file is set up properly, i can login, i jsut cant join servers.... /shrug

I got some good news for you!...

If you want to start playing EQ again, and you did patch or.. u can't get it working... come join us in

irc.eqemu.net / #eqemu ... and ask me ( khuong ) how to get it working or how to fix it if you've patch.. thats right....

if you need help with irc.. here's some info

www.mirc.com <= get the irc client here.. (its the easiest to setup)

after you have it set up .. just type in the server address! and connect.. then type /join #eqemu or join the #eqemu channel! yep its that easy!

Try joining the irc channel and type !eqfix that should fix ya if you do it right.
