I have a problem! ohnose!
Whenever I try to log into a server it gives me about ten seconds at the character select screen before booting me to the server select. If I manage to finish creating a character in those ten seconds, it hangs me up at the screen where it checks the name, then boots me to server select. The one time I did manage to get a character created, it booted me to desktop while loading him up and when I came back the character was gone again.
But Snootay! You're about to say. Sure sounds like you have the latest patch screwing you up!
I did at first, so I talked to my friend who plays on the server(and coincidently, I can log into every server BUT that one, which would make me believe it's something on that end, naturally. But he says he's set up like all the other servers, and he knows what he's talking about). I uninstalled all the expansions and deleted everything even remotely EQ related, even EQ Windows, IM and my log analyzer. Then he sent me his entire EQ folder(not warez, as I've owned EQ for three and a half years now and own all the expansions ;P And Jesus 2 gig takes a long time to download on cable.) and I unzipped it and tried logging in.. and got the same exact problem all over again.
Any ideas what may be the problem? I didn't touch his folder at all, so it's still set up exactly the way he uses it to play everyday yet it gives me the same problem I had before.
