Help With Creating a character

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone else is also having this problem and if there is a way to fix it. Every time i get to the character select screen (tried every server) about 15 seconds after I get there I get booted to the server select screen. Any help would be appreciated, and if this question has been asked and answered before sorry for bein a newb and asking it again.. Thanks again..

Quite a few people are having exactly the same problem as you (including me), and as far as i know there is no fix, seems most people who have this problem also have a slow connection to the server (Though im not sure about that). If you keep trying to connect to a server without many other people on it then you might get on sometimes if your lucky.

I actually have an ADSL 1024/256 and i got this problem .... but the servers where i want to connect and get me so quick disconnect are americans one (i'm european). The few european are ok.

EDIT : no problem with US EQlive servers.

I am also having this exact same problem with a 56k modem. I hope they learn how to fix it.

i got the same problem under winXP, but under win98 all working well

I've been able to log on for about two weeks, then just these past two days I have been getting hit/misses with the logins. Since last night (Saturday night), however, I haven't been able to log in at all -- I get the disconnect at character select. It's weird, though, because I was playing just fine in the afternoon! I am on Windows 98 and a 56k modem.

I'm baffled by the problem.. :(
