Default npctypespawn

Good day,

Is this a bug or user error?

Repro:

#zone sebilis

#npctypespawn 126717 // that is Trakanon in my npc_types database

Result ... large human male. I have found a lot of npcs showing up like this, particularly large boss type mobs. Is this common or am I the only one suffering from it.

Thanks.

- foobar

Oh, feature request:

#npctypesearch <mob name> (would do something similar to SELECT * FROM npc_types WHERE name LIKE "%s";

I figured this out. For future generations running into this problem...

For some reason when you install from the Luclin or PoP CD without first installing the previous expansions, you end up missing some zone_chr.s3d files. The patcher never feeds them to you. Since I was trying primarily to spawn dragons from the first 3 expansions, it was missing those files. I installed another copy of EQ starting from the first in the series and working up to PoP, then copied all the s3d files from that directory to the installation I use for EQEMu. Problem solved.

Yeah, because many dragons (like Trakanon) are Kunark and Velious-era creations, not having an install of these expansions will disallow you from using their model. Default model is human male/female, so the lack of those .s3d files will cause this.
