Default Need help getting started.

Ok, I changed the host to the eqemu thing, but i load up EQ it DLs the original host. I dont get what the "patchme" thing is. If someone could explain it to me so I can use the emulater that would be great. Thanks

patchme is the argument you give to eqgame.exe to make it not need patching. To run everquest:

1. Click the start menu, and pick run
2. Type in 'cmd' if you are in winNT/2000/XP or 'command if you are using windows 9x
3. type cd "\program files\everquest" (or replace with your everquest folder)
4. type 'eqgame patchme' (no quotes)

An even easier way to do it would be to use the eqemu patcher and just check the run everquest box. Or you could run eqW and just uncheck the run patch program checkbox.
