Legit Server Needed

Now that guildwars is down for a bit I need somethin to play on. Theres too many non-legit servers to go thru them all. Post your legit (no item summons, huge exp monsters, huge loot monsters, etc) boards here. Oh and add if they have little tweaks like extra mana regen or tweaked exp tables.

The goal of the emulator from what I read was for a better Everquest, I don't see that happening with the power hungry admins on the non-laggy legit servers.

If I wanted to level, to be vulnerable, and to be confined to certain zones until the zone-outs work (seeing as #zone doesn't work on some servers now), I'd just stick with the regular Sony servers, not some bogged down crap that disconnects you after you summon an item, or walk 2 feet.

If you hate it so much, then go away. We really don't need any negative attitudes around here. The devs have it hard enough trying to keep up with Sony and trying to make it as good as possible. They COULD make it better, but that would require more money. More money for them would require us to pay...this is a free service, quit bitching. Be happy with what you have.

what are you talking about????? there is ONE stalbe non legit server, and rumor has it it's going legit.

/sigh i just don't get it...........why do so many people want legit play. i'm already sick of the "well if you don't like it, go play EQlive" arguement by pro-legit players.

i suggest this

leave EQEmu as non-legit.......and if you don't like it, go play EQLive, where you can get the full experience of a legit server.

I REALLY don't mean to be an ass about this.........but come on.....judging from the forums here it would seem that anti-legit players are in the minority, but that's just not true.

i've said it before, once all eqemu goes legit, your player base will drop from what was it, 798 on foreverhacking, to the dozen or so pro-legit who consistently tell me to go away if i don't like it......

and i don't want that to happen any more than you do. TO ANTI-LEGIT PLAYERS: the ONLY way to help these people to understand is to speak out, I know i'm not alone in these thoughts.

Rag, people make their own servers with their own money! If you want to make a 24/7 server, buy a box and make it! If people make a server its generally catered to their own desires. If the playerbase of their server drops and has less people like you spreading negativity about what kind of server it is, the admins will most likely like that! If you want a non legit server then feel free to make one! I have played EQ for over 3 years and I can absolutely understand where your coming from, but people lash out at you because when you try and get your point across its always in a negative format. If you do make your own server (its honestly not that hard) please tell us about it but until you sacrifice 10 - 15 minutes of time setting it up, and all the other admins (so you say) want to run legit, its their choice!

I never said I hated the emulator. I said I don't agree with legit servers. Most, and probably all, don't play to level, or for item restrictions. And changing it to non-legit wouldn't cost more money.

if you check the other threads you'll see that i've said time and time again that i am unable to host a server because i have a ROUTER, and even there are ways around it, it's not my equipment and changing ports would simply hose the network. believe me, if i were able to do it, i would.

You can't run a server because of your router? what's that about? Fair enough, I'm no computer genius, but even I could figure a way 'round that. Maybe you're just scared that if you did make a server, it'd be crap and you'd have no players. The rejection would send you into a quandary of self-loathing and doubt, you'd be stressed, then go to jail for starting a fight on an aeroplane. While there you'd develop a crack addiction. After you left you'd have to live a life of crime to fund your drug habit, until you died, od'd in a crummy motel bathroom. Or maybe that's just my vivid imagination

Im new to EQemu so please dont flame me. Here is the reasons Ive chosen to quit EQlive and to play on EQemu:

1. EQlive takes too much of my time
2. EQemu allows me to level up quick, summon items, move around freely, and find a renewed intrest in the game
3. I want to play different classes but DONT want to spend the next few months leveling them to a degree whereby they can stay alive in the upper, fun zones
4. EQemu doesnt require a 5-6 hour commitment that EQlive required

So, with that said, I am not in favot of the legit type servers. But that only means that I wont spend much time on them. Id rather play on the free summon, free item, free zoneing servers.

TO those of you trying to make credible legit servers, more power to you and good luck. I hope that you are successful.

To those of you who are critical of EQemu because many people want to make legit servers, set up your own non-legit server...ill play on it. Just dont talk so much that you ruin it for the rest of us who are behind you and want to enjoy EQ again.

If you dont like legit, dont worry, I`m sure no matter what there will be one or two non-legit server(s) to paly on. So everyone will be happy.

There seems to be a severe misunderstanding about certain things around here. Contrary to apparent common belief, it is not your God-given right to decide which servers will be up and maintained and which ones won't. You see, you have, in fact, very little power whatsoever over that. You may try to influence the hosts, but you have no real power. So I don't see how people can come here and argue which is better. As I stated in another post, it's all a matter of choice.

If you're a fundamentalist of some kind and dislike people making their own choices, or perhaps a supporter of everyone's favorite mass murderer Adolf Hitler's "Herrvolk" idea and consider your own ideas superior, I give you the following options:

Start your own server.
Adapt.
Go away.
Go to Hell.
Go to Iraq.
