cant get through login screen

i did everything correct and i cannot get past login screen bad username/password it says and im using forum username/pass anyone else havving this would appreciate it if could get a fix thx ) :lol: :lol: :!: :!:

are you sure you replaces the hosts.txt with the one on this site?

you need that to play on the servers here or it will try to connect to original EQ and of course your username and pass for this board won't work there :)

Also check your caps lock key... (yeah i did that and couldn't figure out why i couldn't log in... how embarrassing)

If you are using an AZERTY-type keyboard, beware that the login system uses QWERTY (i.e.:cat--->cqt)

I don't see how that would matter...as long as you are hitting the proper keys....if my z is over where my w should be...it won't matter as long as I hit the w instead of the z....get what I'm saying?

I'm assuming that everyone using their keyboard KNOWS HOW TO TYPE and if they don't...I think they at least look at what keys they're pushing when they hunt and peck.
