Please Please Please provide valid email addresses.

ALL Hotmail, Excite! and Yahoo email addresses are banned from making new accounts because of abuse.

To be able to login to the EQEMu login servers, you HAVE to have a valid email address. They will not let you on until your address is validated by you, at the email address (it sends you an email with a URL to turn it on).

I repeat, YOU MUST HAVE A VALID EMAIL.

Im tired of seeing 15+ returned emails a day because of three (3) main reasons:

1) Fake email address
2) CJB.NET emails are routed through their email server, so they bounce ALL the time even if you have yourhost.cjb.net
3) Netscape.com/net emails. Netscape.NET is the free email accounts, not netscape.COM. Please get it right.

This burdens me with even more petty things to do when I could be having fun, or coding atleast.

Also, we will be pruning all inactive accounts every month, (that are older than a week). This will help keep our numbers down.

i use hotmail cause that is my valid email address. my parents took all the email addresses at attbi. i didnt want to pay for another. will i still be able to use it?

Hmmm why do you want a main Email ? i only use it when i buy stuff online. if i was making a new account i wouldnt becuase i dont want my Email sold to people for money. and get alot of BS Email selling me crap. i stoped using this Email and you can see what i mean. go to www.hotmail.com then for the user name type Memener then as the password type 123456 you will see why i dont give out my Email! i dont care what happens to this Email i dont use it any more!

Because it takes a whole 5 seconds to open a new acct at hotmail. Obviously Hogie doesnt want people that are pissed at us for various reasons to open a new eqemu acct with a dummy hotmail acct and proceed to disrupt the servers in any way they can. Hogie doesnt sign you up for junk mail and he doesnt sell your address to anyone (although this would help with the server costs if he did). Hogie runs the website out of his good will, the money that people donate does not cover the server costs and handware costs so please be kind and respect his decisions.

Now this is strange. I made and account today as BlackJack but i did not get an activation email to my paid email adress i provide. Got some error message. Then i made this account with an yahoo.de adress and it works ?

Ok, My main email is Enixmage@yahoo.com I've sat here and signed up on www.mail.com and even netscape.net (as I was told to do at sharereactor)

At any rate it always says faliure send to email addy when I sign up so I dont know what to do at this point.. (and no I dont know my actual email as @home was bought out by insightbb.com and I just use my yahoo now..) So I've signed up as enix@mail.com, Enixmage@europe.com (guy on share used this tho I live in kentucky), and enixmage1@netscape.net You can plz delete all these. I just want enixmage@yahoo.com if thats possible if not plz tell me where to sign up at thank you...

Oh and one last question...I know I should make a new post for this, but do any servers care if ya use more than one puter on same ip? Ie Router. Thanks a ton

You got Hogie! He spent AGES organizing and coding, and recruiting the help of over a hundred people so that he could collect 4000 email addresses.

Forget that eqemu stuff! The scam is in the email!
