Default 4.3 Database

Hey guys .. any chance that 4.3 compatible database will be released with version 4.3 ? last one released was 4.1. i tried 4 times to get it to work without any workable result . i know its just more work for you and stuff but it would be nice to have database that works with the version updates.

You can easily update your database to the 4.3 format. You just download the 42to43.sql file and source that into your database. I assume not much changed from 4.1 to 4.2?

And something important Izagod forgot to mention, Becarefull for this will completely destroy your faction table, and don't forget to source the npc_spells_id.

Default 4.3 database

the problem is that i don't have existing database, otherwise i would just use dar's patch to update it, i'm sure there will be more people like me, i got 4.2 source used the db.sql that came with it, which is already not compatible with 4.1 database release in few places and sourcing the data won't work for part of it, so it is hard to try to find out why the world or zone server segfaults when the database is not what the servers expect in the first place. I'm not trying to rant or anything like that, i just think that the extra 20 minutes that it would take to export the current database data would probably save alot of time answering questions to people that just got started out with eqemu and it would make the distro alot more consistent.

I'll release a new 4.3 compatible beta version of my DB addon as soon as I can get 4.3 to work on my system.
This will be the last "beta" version, the basic stuff is nearly complete now.
