error 1042 - pls help

when i try to connect to a server i get this error
it tells me that server got other language

how can i chanage language ?

dose it tell you that for all the servers you try to log on. and I don't know about changing languages. because Myself, I've never seen that error before. so its new to me

its for all the servers the same problem
maybe its because im from germany
i tried to change the windows settings to english but that doesnt help either

that shouldn't have anything to do with it. the servers on live eq are played by all. I think. and im sure there are more people using this then just us english :p have you tryed uninstalling everquest and reinstalling it the using the patch program again. that might get you somewhare. im shooting in the dark on this one. Alot of us here haven't seen this error before.

Samr problem here for me
Installed kunark "english version " patch works
Error 1042 wrong language .
dcomx3 did you take it already ?

Hmm i only way i think this can be fixed put this file in your Everquest folder

Or you could try deleteing eclient.ini all together.

Start Everquest

When you are under the update window please click on "advanced button"

In the next please click on the flags (us/eng) on the left of this text "Language Downloads"

Now click on "Save"

That should work

I have this same problem with my french game.

But when i go to advenced menu i don t have Us/eng flag...
This suck, it just like say me error language 1042.

Delete the ini file do nothing for me...

Isn't the server who need only english client?

Client and server are english only.
