Maybe now you've saved it you should try it before posting again...?

Are you getting Error 1017: Cannot connect to patch server (After selecting a server to play on?

If so there is plenty of help on the forums...I must have had a bad one because it took me about 11 different threads to fix my problem...make sure you Search for "1017", read all the information you get, and do what it says.

Basic fix for problem is: Thorough file check 2 or 3 times, let it download all files it needs. Download EQEmu patcher (1.0.1 ATOP -at time of post) and run. Let it download all files it needs. That usually fixes everything, if not.....read some more :P

'cant connect to patch server'
that is all patch.exe has ever done for me, not sure why. I personally would say it doesnt work, but it seems others have ran it with out trouble. I've been all over this forum, read every post, tried every 'fix' that people have suggested - nothing works for me, not patch.exe and I always get a 1017 error both on the eqemu servers and on my own.
funny thing is, eq live will run flawlessly...
now, before anyone posts something stupid like 'did you check your eqhost.txt' or similar, ill just tell you now YES.
would it be that the recent patch(es) to eqlive have just pooched eqemu? I doubt its my setup when eqlive works beautifully. Im not a guru at networking, but I'm not a newb either =)

MS data access drivers don't fix this problem a LOT of us have.

Ive asked about 30,000,000 times for somebody to just post a link to the EQ files the "patcher" would normaly patch if it was to work.

That would help many of us

Thank you.
