OK, I made OK, after months trying to get this to work, I finaly got it going. Now, after i maka charcter, and click enter world, i crash bac to desktop. Im about to finally play EQemu, and now im stuck anyone help really... PLEASE

look at the dos entries on zone.exe's and world.exe to see what errors are there without errors problems cant be resolved

What server you trying this on? Your own server or someone elses? If its a public server try it on one of the green servers.

I have exact same problem. Iv tired it on the green servers, and non green servers and still no go. No error messages poped up is just crash EQ to dekstop. It seems to be a common problem with alot of people so i dont understand why there isn't a solution yet. Oh well. If theres a solution put it in the damn FAQ

Well I knew when I first started trying to get onto the servers the same happened with me.

1. It could be your connection speed
2. When you last patched EQ through EQLive

Other than that I am not sure, after I had updated my EQEmu from 0.4.2 to 0.4.3 I was able to login with ease. You might just have to be patient and wait for the next update.

Its happening on other peoples servers. Im not good enoguh at comps to set up my own server.Ive tried the green servers. At first ill get to play on ther server for a little bit, then ill go LD, or itll just close while im playing. Then when i come back to log on, i select characetr, hit enter world, and bang, back to desktop. The first one i tried was foreverhacking, and that didnt work from the begining. SO far this has happened on 4 servers.


I just wanna play on the same server for more then a dang day.

Well, i patched EQ with latest patch on accident a few days ago. I also had LoY. But i have ben able to use hte Eqemu pathcer. to get all the current eqemu files,so i dont have the slightest clue of what the problem is. then again im not a computer person.

OK, now its weird, sometimes ill get on a server, others after i select my char i go back to desktop. I tried zoning, but when i did, i just crashed back to desktop. I guess i just suck

The problem is most likely not yours. Servers have different zone programs up to run the zones, and often when you enter a zone that hasn't been "booted" yet, you will crash. Simply log back on and you should be able to get in that zone. It happens to all of us from time to time. The problem is with the zone.exe booting the zone slower than your computer loads the zone graphics.

That fixed it. Some zones work, others dont!

Now I pily on everyhacking, but i also crash to destop when i zone with Some server, but i log back on, and am playing in hat zone... oh well ill deal with it, but some servers im fine. Im just happy im playing.
