Default New here

I've been reading through a bit of this and am trying to learn a bit about how this emulator is supposed to work. My network got firewalled so I couldn't play EQ anymore. I was thinking that maybe with this I could serve one inside, but the downsider is that I sold my game disks already. What I wanted to know is if I have to buy new disks or can I just borrow a friend's of mine to set this up? Thanks

J

Officially, we don't support warez. Technically, you should buy it again.

I am planning on buying a new set again, but not until after my summer move. I was wondering if it needs a key to actually work to see weather it is worth trying to set this up within my school's firewall, otherwise, it wouldn't even be worth trying.

You don't need a CD Key to activate your account or anything. You already have an account, all you need now is EQ. You can borrow your friends CDs, that is not warez. Warez is just if you provide a link to any EQ file that anyone can download on the internet.

*edit* I believe you can still play the emu with a firewall, you just can't host a server.

Everyone behind the firewall can connect to a server behind the firewall. Nobody from outside will be able to connect. That's the purpose of a firewall - outside people OUT, inside people IN.
