Default Update Spawns HOW TO DO IT

Meny PPL don't know how to perma add spawns to the game so here is a vary short guide rememeber you can always delete them

type #spawn Test 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1

type #npcspawn create

type #npcspawn add
And to get rid of it you simply #npcspawn delete the deletes it from DB but #npcspawn remove only removes it from spawning have fun and i hope this guide helps you

The zone has to be rebooted for it to respawn.

Well can you reboot that zone from within the game? I have not been able to create a successful spawn as of yet. I would appreciate any feedback.

I could be wrong, but I believe that if you permanently add teh spawn to the database then all you have to do is use teh #repop command from within the zone. Also, if you leave teh zone (go to another zone leaving the first one empty of players so the zone is no longer "up") and come back, I think it automatically "reboots" and repops when you zone back into it.

hehe repop won't work. you'll have to #zone and come back. repop just respawns from the db in memory when zone booted. you have to leave the zone and return, so zone server gets new "copy" of db. make sense?

I think it would make MORE sense if the #repop command actually made the zone refresh it's knowledge of the db entries and thus #repop would work, but if that isn't the way things are, then that isn't the way things are... I understood what you said though

that idea would work if it depoped the spawns and the zone re-accesses the database and loaded it from there with the new database entries

but i think the eqemu devs would need to do that,

ALSO

CVS . . i hear this all the time, i probably know what it is, but . . . i dont know what it is atm lol, i hear people install CVS and yadda but i dont know what they are talkin about
