Default question about login

I have played eq for a long time now and just ran across this site and think this is a great idea. However I do have the curent version of EQ from there game and I see this when I go to see how to get in the game.

****CAUTION****
Do NOT patch (do not run EverQuest.exe) to get the latest version of EQ unless you have
talk to someone in the Chat room or on the forums and they say it's okay to patch.
Failing to do so may result in connection problems and cannot be fixed until the next version of EQEmu is released.
****CAUTION****

Is there anyway to get around this uninstalling the game formatting? Please let me know if you all have had this problem or know a work around to it other than waiting on the next version of the eqemu to come out I have already cancled my account with eq when I saw this site. So please any advice would be appreaciated.

Sig is short for signature. I had a link in my signature that I wanted you to click.
