Default Anyone still play EQ?

Does anyone still play EQ. Im starting again and i would like someone i could play with. I find soloing boring. If you want we could create new characters. I would like it to be on QUellious that way i could twink the guys. (i think i have a Fungi and abunch of monk gear kicking around)

Even if you dont want to...
i would like to know who, if anyone, still plays EQ on verant soil.

That sounds like a lot of fun. I tried that once, but my friend quit for a long period of time, so I outlevelled him, but I'd gladly like to try again.

I haven't played my regular character for a while, so it wouldn't be hard to move to Quellious anyways.

PM me later.

Excuse me, but if the game is so horrible, why are you on a message board discussing the emulation of this game?

I haven't played in over a year, but I suppose that it wouldn't be too bad. I spent most of my last months with a Gnome Necro trying to build enough faction with the Dwarven guards to do the Crushbone Belt quest.

When I think back, I should have just sold the Crafted armor on my warrior and twinked the little guy, and bought a teleport to a more friendly continent.

I might consider starting back up if enough others do- we could even form a guild, just a bunch of newbies joking around.

Thats actually a cool idea... lets get a bunch of live EQ'ers together and form a guild, then just play like maddogs..lol.. should be alot easier now that hell levels are gone and exp has dropped before 10.. If for no other reason than packet collecting to get new item in the database..

Ive got a 55th level druid on test... i'll powerlevel the hell outta everyone...LOL

I still play EQlive. I have chars on Tallon, Vallon and Povar all level 50+ except the one on Tallon, getting there though. I would love to start a new one, though, on any server if a group wanted to get together and level/hunt together.

I do

Although I enjoy EQEmu you have to admit that it currently cannot take a full out event. (Cazic Thule was in Lake of Ill Omen) could not pass that up...

Default One thing

Oh one thing, i in no way am dissing the emulator. I love the idea and look forward to the day i can play everquest on my parents farm with my two younger brothers (they both love EQ but my mom wont let them have the internet). I have high hopes for what it will one day turn into and it has already taken great steps towards the 'final product'. It has the potential to be soo much better than VE everquest servers, because it is configurable and those who help make it happen are interested in us having fun , not making money. Thanks Image and everyone who punches the clock to make this emulator happen!

Some of us aren't here because we dislike the game, but because we *really* like it. It is, for some, a great tribute to recreate the work -- like monks translating new versions of their bible into new languages. It is something that they enjoy, and want to experience and share with others.

Like a monk, we cannot have participated in the original creation of a biblical text, but can participate in the time, which consist of new translations and so on.

So it is that many folks, including myself, are here for.

Hey I still play the game and have been doing since June 1999.

despite the length of service I am till failing to spend enough time online to get any of my chars above 23. Thus I turned to the emulator.. now i dont need on line time ... but the emulator has a long way to go.

I would like the idea of joining a guild of fellows I am UK based so the Server I use now (ABayle) is expensive to play on as the prices are way over the top. but I dont think I want to move my peeps so starting a new one sounds good. Tlet us know when you decide where it is .. and I will turn up to look and Help

Marv.
