Default #level and other commands

I'm trying to setup a temp nonlegit server for people to mess around with until I get some stuff added to make it semi-legit.

I'm running a 0.4.4-DR1 server with telmet's db.

I edit the addon.ini file in the main eqemu directory and change the commands I want everyone to have access to to =0, but when I start up the server and log in a non-GM test character, it says command not found, until I flag myself as a GM.

Is there something else I'm missing? I have a level and skill quest NPC working right now, but it'd be great if I can get it so people can just use #level and #setskillall etc instead.

Edit- Forgot to ask another Q...is there anyway I can ban an IP address, or range of IP addresses from logging into my server?

Have you tried setting "default status" to 0?

It's in the LoginServer.ini file.

set it to 0, still getting the command not found message, level is still set to 0 in addon.ini too.

Got it working now, you're right it was the defaultstatus= line...changed it to defaultstatus=100 and logged on a new test account and it set it as 100 when creating the account...commands working now
