Questions ?

Ok so we know that 0.2.5 doesn't work with the latest EQ client patch. Is there any way to patch to a version that does work? I haven't played EQ since the original Beta test so I don't know if Sony keeps a download of patches or if you are forced to us the auto patcher.

The reason I ask this is because I would like to setup a few friends of mine on my server without having to worry about patching all the time. I would like to just run one stable version of the server code and a compatible client.

Luckily we have an awesome group of fellows working on the server and they keep the program updated so I

0.2.6 is in testing and DOES work with the latest patch. you can play it on Lyenu's Playgroung server.

I was on his server lastnight for a bit. But I keeped crashing out when i zoned. I think he was still tweaking the code.

However today i'm having problems. I can't connect to his server.

I get to the loading screen where it loads all the items, etc. I get error 1017: Cannot login to the EverQuest server.

You may need to re-run the Update Patch.

I assume his server is down at the moment or Sony has some how slipped another patch in?

Guess i'll just wait for that 0.2.6 version. Thanks for the quick response.

My server was indeed pretty buggy last night. Scruffy put out some updates of his and they seem to of made the code more stable. It DOES infact work with the latest version of EQ, and it is the beta of 0.2.6... and will always be updated with the latest code. And PS, I'm a she

Yes i would also like to say great job, Scruffys and Lyenus servers are the best ive found, keep up the good work guys!!

Lyenu I am also haveing some of the same problems with your server. Most zones being down and when it does let me load into a zone, it just freezes and i have to Clt-alt-Dlt to get out. This is at 6:00pm pst.....Thanks

Yeah, the dev team all pulled together and accomplished a great job today with the release of 0.2.6. *NEW* netcode thanks Merkur, is amazing, I don't LD at all anymore (there is still a possibily though, it's not perfect). Also we fixed zone stability, so less crashing so that should happen A LOT less.

I downloaded the 0.2.6 vesion from files section in sourceforge.
This release doesn't work, i have the same problem of the 0.2.5

I need to download from another site ?
If yes where ?

What i have to do to connect me to Lyenu's Playgroung server

No, the only relation it has is they are both EverQuest emulators

Tallis, #repop (how many ever seconds you want it till the repop)

IE:
If you want freportw for everything to spawn.

#zone freportw
#repop 1
Zone will repop in 1 second.
