I remember when the first Ultima Online emus first appeared. You could barely do more than just walk around, and the Z coordinate didn't work at all. Even though there was so little that could be done with them, I still liked being able to run my own server to see how the project was coming along. Now they are nearly as good as the real thing. Better in my opinion, since you can set them however you like.

I'm glad to see that other EQ emulator out there, it gives me a chance to start checking things out. He has less features than the older version right now, since he changed some things around. And I am eagerly awaiting the next release of EQemu so I can try it also. I can't run the 4.4 since I don't have the right client files. From what I see on the boards, EQemu is looking great. I wish we could get a ballpark eta... days, weeks, months, next year?

Besides, anything we get from the devs should be appreciated. They are not making anything from their hard work.

Good work and good luck to all the dev teams out there.
