Goto the start menu then goto Run and type in
"C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest Trilogy\eqgame.exe" patchme
or
"C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\eqgame.exe" patchme

it should bring it up in full screen.

Just make a shortcut of eqgame.exe onto your desktop, rightclick properties, then where it says Target at the end of everything put patchme, so it looks like this

"C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest Trilogy\eqgame.exe" patchme

or

"C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\eqgame.exe" patchme

hit apply and ok, and it should work.

Strange... It works for me, I guess just try reinstalling? Not sure why that happened...

And that mss32.dll file isnt just a part of EQ I think, seeing as how I have it in (as I can tell) all of my game folders when I do a search. So just try and reinstall really.

I think there was someone else a wile ago who had this issue and it was because they didnt have the current Direct X needed for EQ.

Try downloading the newest Driect X ...9 i think.
