Default Connect without EQW, or make EQW full screen ?

I finnaly figured out how to get rid of the 1017 error and I joined server but EQW is so hard to use because the window is so small i can barley read anything ... Is there anyway I can set i t for full screen ? or is there a way I can connect to a server and play without using EQW ??? Thanks in advance all

Also i wanted to add that when using EQW the word/letters in the game are all weird lookin ith like choppy lines and stuff next to them and the sound is glitchy sometimes...Is this normal ?

What did you do ... may add to the knowledge base for people who see the Search link before asking the same question about Error 1017

it is possible to log onto emu without using eqw. this will probably only work temporarily... until everquest comes with a new patch that is not compatable with 5.0, but until then, patch like you regularily do, THEN change you eqhost.txt file and THEN clink PLAY.

What error message do you get ? Is your EQGAME.EXE installed in C:\Program Files\EverQuest ?

Icant alt-F4, alt-tab, alt-enter cant do anything ... so ... i guess back to this command thing i gotta put in Run ...

" What error message do you get ? Is your EQGAME.EXE installed in C:\Program Files\EverQuest ? "

It says cannot find C:\Program make sure I typed it in correctly....but when I take the patchme off at the end of that line it tries to run the eqgame.exe and says to use the patch thing or somthin ... as if i double clicked the eqgame.exe in the EQ folder ... and Yes that is where my eqgane.exe is ... in programfiles, then everquest .... So any help is appricahted hehe

How small?? My Eqw is is ful size with EQw but it retains the windows classis window frame for XP. Not sure what happened to your Directx files or computer, but the only times my Eqw is very small is on occasion.

Try closing it out then reopen it.

If nothing post your directx Diagnostics here and maybe I can help you or a dev?

Default typo

unless this is a typo i see that you put this
C:\Program Files\Everquest\eqgame.exe" patchme

you forgot the other quotation marks...

"C:\Program Files\Everquest\eqgame.exe" patchme

you can change the directory to wherever your eqgame.exe is patched also

use a search next this has already been answered before

In order to make EQw work full screen, it needs to be the same res or higher than your desktop.
