I appreciate you sharing your solution, but ...

1017 is a generic way of saying "something" went wrong. So to those of you hoping this will solve your problem, it likely won't. There are so many different causes, and this solution only solves one of them.

Most of the 1017 problems are beyond your control as a client of someone else's server.
