Just items, or does it collect the zone information too?

it collects everything, but we maintain an item database for the community.

i'd like to get my hands involved in helping out the item DB and eventually, possibly get a server up and running.. depending on the demand..

so my question is: is packcollecting a vital operation at the moment? is there a high need for more packetcollectors?

i'd like to make my time spent worth as much as possible.. so just point me in the right direction and i'll try my best!!!

The packet collector server is the only cook, I am a humble forager.

If you want to develop code then do it. If you want to PacketCollect do it. I am not waiting for someone else to tell me what to do with my free time. Besides I am like many that might say Fuck off to anyone that does.

I believe that if you look really close at the source code you can make donations to the existing, others have. I don't have an OPCODE collection to go by ATM and nor do I want one. I am use to servers doing all the work with stupid clients. EQ is way different to me (I hate it more the more I learn about it).. Hack your Clients, to make a pseudo spec...:P

So... I asked about stuff I wanted to work on (combat) it is already addressed, formulas are being worked on ATM.

Saw this released and request for bugs/problems.. Everyone with an account can PacketCollect. Please join the effort if you want to

Seriously, do you want to be the ACE that got something done that you feel the others couldn't do? Do you want to work as part of the team that got "spells" implemented? Go to #eqemudev and ask "how can I help?". Thanks for stepping up to the plate, from one of the players here that can't wait to get the server 100%.

Tsmyworld does the database magic with moving NPC's and stuff.... I am just helping the cause to get the items in the damn db.

BTW that patch SOE pushed down changed alot of shit in the DB.. The augmentation free slot changed to slot 7 on alot of items. I am actually enjoying server hopping and begging as newbies ( I deleted my characters after giving away the equipment, when I quit over 2 months ago, thought that would send a message to a certain guide and gm.)

EQLIVE players beware, badass newbie(s) going to nag and beg.
I love begging for SOW so I can run to the next merchant faster. Besides its a game of running and being covert (run your mouth here not on SOE); like a game within the game. With every new item updated or added isn't a measure against someone else whose pcing. To me its one item closer to complete DB match and another F.U. to SOE.
