Default Everquests New Engine?

Has anyone heard about this? I bought a compute gaming mag the other day at Fry's and it says that the current engine is going to be replaced with a new one soon (not talking about Luclin). Does anyone know any more about this (the article had a comparison screen shot and a caption, but not much else)? Anyway, is EQEmu going to try and work with the new engine when it goes live? Just curious, thanks.

By the way: Devs and everyone supporting this project, great job! I remember way back when when EQEmu had barely any functionality. I just wanted to say thanks for such a cool project and all your hard work. Cheers and keep up the good work.

The engine is client side only. I saw a screenshot of it through a post on the FOH forums. Go there to see it. That's all I know at the moment.

My guess it a change to client likely means a change to the rendering engine, which would not affect eqemu.

Hopefully they'll bring it to EverQuest's 2 engine; but even then, they still are trying to upgrade graphics, when everyone knows the content sucks.
