unable to connect to database
I tried changing the DatabaseHost in the settings.ini to the ip of the system hosting mysql but am still having the same error : unable to connect to database. My settings.ini now looks like this although it is still not working.
DatabaseName = eqemu
DatabaseUser = eqemu
DatabasePass = eqemu
DatabaseHost = 192.168.1.3
EQDirectory = C:\EQ_Local
I must still be missing something. I also tried downloading and installing mysql version 4.01 on another system and then sourcing in the last tcs database and still have the same error using a different system so i have to be missing something when configuring the settings.ini. I am running both systems on windows 98SE if that has any effect. I am a computer technician and very computer literate but this project is my 1st time to use mysql.
