Default Scorpious2k Server is Back!

Just to let everyone know, we have successfully converted to 5.x and the server is back up. Sorry it took so long (1.5 weeks) but we did more than we originally expected to do.

For those who don't know the server, we have 150+ zones populated including all of Luclin. The max level you can reach is 99, and there are zones where you can get the exp needed to attain this level.

It has the look and feel of live, but it isn't an eqlive clone. It may look familiar, but expect surprises. There are some unique mobs, unique gear and great GMs. Spontaneous and planned events are a regular occurance.

We have a lot of quests, but because we converted to Perl, they aren't all working yet. This is a high priority for us and is being worked on now. We should have them all up and running in a few days.

Because we feel players are the most important part of the server, we converted all the characters and accounts from 4.4 to the new version. If you played on 4.4, your character is waiting for you to continue.

If you've never played on the server before, come on in. You will be welcomed. It's a legit server, so don't expect to summon items and twink yourself, but if you enjoy the game you will love the Scorpious2k Server.

Once again I cant login. I've tried making characters in many different cities but its always the same. Log in my character, black screen, you've been disconnected :/

The two times I have been able to login it froze when I tried to zone.

When we were testing on the test server I ran into a problem like that. After I rebooted the computer it went away and I haven't seen it since. You might try rebooting....

From a Gnomish Magician standpoint this server was overly frustrating. My hometown of Ak'Anon lacks a spell merchant and a zoneline so I had to use the Translocator to find a new hometown. Wanting to stay nearby I tried Greater Faydark but after a good dozen or so Disconnected messages this appeared to be a bad decision. Remade the character and tried Toxxulia instead. Conning mobs on the way to Erudin made this seem like a good choice and a trip inside the palace showed I could purchase any spells I would need. All seemed to be looking up until I zoned out of the palace and was thrown into a tiny box.

We're still using the default zoning db and there seem to be some problems. Let me know the char name and we'll see if we can get you out of that box.

Actually I managed to get myself out of there by equiping and unequiping a 50 health item I had purchased for no money before encountering this problem.

It seems old zones don't get cleared completely before new zones are loaded. For instance the first time I zoned into Toxxulia I saw several Clockworks, I was the only one on and was coming from Ak'Anon. This time I saw Barbarian merchants and GMs and shortly before zoning I saw someone in everfrost on /who all. In Erudin I've seen giant wasp drones fly about amongst other things and Ak'Anon has a big cluster which has contained ice and sand giants among other things.

Could you move Eowyn and Renommus to a usable bank? I probably could've managed myself if I could get a trade dialog up or drop an item but I had to share that little box with a SHIP! The duel command doesn't seem to be working either, although regen seems kinda high so I doubt that would've worked anyway.

I have never seen or heard of that message. We certainly welcome all French and other nationalities.

If anyone else has encountered this and knows of a fix, please let me know.

I onlu changed it to 1 (before it was 2 which is the french langage i guess) and now i can connect to your servers : BTW GREAT JOB.

For what i have seen it is exactly as the real Everquest (but free of charges) !

I will try again tomorow and i hope there will be more people cause it is a Multiplayer Game i guess
