compile problem..plzz help me

I am trying to compile the server 0.5.0 using the guide on this site, but when i get to step 8 and actually try to compile the EMuShareMem.dsp it screws up. I go to my comp. , c:, and so on to the file then when i double click it it opens up virtual studios 2002 then says its missing a chat.vcproj and says some other files are corrupt. I have tried running through the steps like 6 times after that and nothing seems to work.


also are there any servers that are up that i can just play on or do i have to start my own?

Well.. for one.. the 0.5.0 is now old news..

2. Compiling your own server is mostly if you are a dev yourself, or a tester "for fun"..

3. There are many servers up (and there are many "howtos" on how to use those.. wich is a helluva lot simpler than compiling your own server :P

So.. browse the "tutorial" section of the board on how to PLAY (and not run your own server), and you should be pretty much gtg
