Default Guess what 1017 error:)

Im a bit unsecure if i have latest patch i patched like 2 hours before todays patch(Have backup, but its since 22/11-2003).

Im getting the famous 1017 error, like i said im a bit unsecure if i have latest patch, shouldnt be.

im running eqemu on single computer, i dont have an active internet connection and i inativated my network card, and checked if xp

i doubt you will be able to play your backup :<
but you can always give it a try, if that doesnt
work you'll be knee-deep in shit

nahh, but moderators might find a solution for this,
lets just cross our fingers that they put on their
capes and thinking caps :S

So I am to assume that the error 241 came from using a patch that was too new, yes?

Just asking because unfortunately I didn't have EQ installed so I had to get a newer patch and everything is working perfectly until I get to this error when I try to login.

i would like to know that one also please since i have the same error and havent found teh solution yet .
would be nice if you also post what u did to solve it so this knowledge base gets bigger.

Yes do tell how you remedied this particular error. My newest venture into the 1player eq has ended much as this thread started.

ok I got the damn [error] Expecting OP_LoginInfo, got 241

How do I get this gone no one seems to help on the forums... they just say they fixed it not how they did lol

so any one know how to fix this??

Well hopefully, someone who had this error and fixed it will post what they did ... failing that, post all your ini files, boot5zones.bat, the output of your world.exe and zone.exe windows, and when you last patched to EQLive.

Yes, click on the icon in the top left of the command prompt, select 'Edit/Mark', highlight the text in the window, then paste it here.

Hmmm, I wish I knew the fix for this. maybe when people find a fix for there problem they can post the fix for the rest of us instead of never visiting the forums ever again :( kinda a shame for the knowledge to be waisted.

@SethZ I noticed you are using 0.5.2 try using 0.5.3
