When you say you made sure they are up to date, what do you mean? You patched? If you did you are screwed unless you have a backup directory...

If you are able to play on GW just fine, then that means there is not a problem on your end. Though I would test this theory on GW Just to make sure. Because it sounds a lot like the amd/nvidia problem with EQ... Do you get an error message when the game crashes?
